About the HLT Training Package

The HLT (Health) Training Package covers skills and knowledge for Australia's health sector — including nursing support, allied health, paramedicine, health administration, dental assisting, and first aid.

HLT qualifications are delivered by RTOs training Certificate III and IV nursing support workers (ENs, AINs), allied health assistants, paramedics, dental assistants, and health administrators. Many HLT qualifications overlap with workforce requirements under the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards and NDIS Practice Standards.

The HLT package is distinctive because
